Barunguba Montague Island Tour - Must be 5 years and Older
Step ashore on the Island and discover the rich Aboriginal and lighthouse history of this protected nature reserve. Enjoy guided walks, breathtaking coastal scenery, abundant wildlife, and panoramic views from the historic 1881 lighthouse. Perfect for visitors wanting to experience the Island’s history, nature, and beauty.
- Guest must have a moderate fitness level and be able to a climb a ladder at the Island Jetty unassisted.
Snorkel with the Seals - Any ages. Must be able to swim
Experience the thrill of snorkelling alongside playful Australian fur seals in their natural environment. This is an unforgettable wildlife encounter. 3mm wetsuits, mask, snorkel and fins are included.
Island Tour + Snorkel Combo - Must by 5 years and older and able to swim
Combine both experiences into one incredible adventure. Explore the Island with a guided tour before or after enjoying an unforgettable snorkel with the seals depending on the tour time selected. This is the ultimate way to experience everything Barunguba Montague Island has to offer.

- If traveling just for the tour, please touch base with us before you leave for an update on the sea conditions forecast and numbers
- Trips run from 2.5 hour to 3.5 hours depending on the trips running on that day.

Yes you need to be able to swim, we do have noodles to assist young children and not strong swimmers.
Children need to be 5 years and older to land at Barunguba Montague Island. No age limit for snorkelling with the seals
Depending on the trip you booking from 40 mins for the Island combo and 1.5 hours to 2 hours for a straight snorkel.

Guests requirements
- Guests ages 5 and up can attend certain sessions
- Guests ages 99 and less can attend certain sessions
- All participants entering the water must be able to swim. Children must be supervised by a parent or guardian at all times while snorkelling.
- All participants landing on the Island for the tour must be 5 years and older, have a moderate fitness level and able to climb a ladder at the Island jetty unassisted.
- If we are required to cancel your trip due to unsafe sea conditions or insufficient numbers. A full refund will be provided or you may choose to transfer your booking to another date or time.
